We built the Quest Angler for paddlers who want the freedom of kayak fishing without a 20 kg+ hardshell. At 14.5 kg, padded carry handles at the centre of gravity let you shoulder-carry and stand upright easily. It’s compact in the bag, quick to inflate, and a breeze from car to water.

Dual anchor trolleys (L/R): choose your fishing position with precision.
Recommended: 1.2 kg anchor kit for best holding.Universal forward mounts: 2 mounts on inner tubes (bow area) positioned to avoid paddle interference. Compatible with Scotty and Railblaza StarPort HD (use ¼″ head, 15 mm shank bolts for StarPort HD).
Crate-ready rear deck: space for Pelican ExoCrate or Railblaza Gear Hub with 4 tie-down D-rings.
EVA-padded working zone: reinforced floor area for managing fish and tackle.

Drop-stitch keels fore and aft lock in your line, even in wind and even without the fin. We’ve set the paddler’s centre of gravity forward so the bow keel sits in the water (not riding high) — huge improvement to tracking and glide.
Stable & Easy In/Out
Low-profile side chambers + wide, flat hull = super stability. Flop in, swing legs over, or sit sidesaddle when needed — essential for fishing moments that demand quick movement.
6.5-Minute Setup
Three chambers, one valve type. Insert foot pegs (optional), deck lifts (optional),
clip the Rubix high-back seat (optional rear clips). The fin is included but not required for straight tracking.
All-Day
Adjustable foot pegs let you use your whole body for efficient strokes. The extra-stiff high-back seat attaches to high-mounted D-rings for superior lumbar support.
Seat base includes a 5 cm cushion (removable): run lower for ultimate stability, or keep it in for a drier ride and higher viewpoint when sight-fishing.
Propeller-Compatible (Fin Box)
The Jaspara Quest Angler Inflatable Fishing Kayak comes with a slide-and-lock fin box that’s designed not only for the included fin, but also for fin-box style propellers. This means you can upgrade to an electric assist system without changing kayaks.
The hull is stable enough for motor assistance and remains easy to steer using your paddle, making it ideal for longer sessions on the water or pushing into current and wind.
- Bixpy compatible: can be paired with a fin-box style Bixpy setup (using the appropriate fin adapter).
- ASIWO compatible: also suitable for fin-mounted ASIWO-style propulsion systems.
Clip in your propeller when you want extra power, remove it when you prefer to keep things simple and paddle-only — the Quest Angler is ready for both.
Quality & Durability
Made by Jaspara using top-grade materials (PVC tarpaulin side tubes + drop-stitch floor). Every kayak is inflated and held for 7 days pre-pack to verify reliable seals. Hardware placement (handles, seats, D-rings, pegs) is tuned for comfort and balance.
🚫 Who the Quest Angler Is Not For
The Jaspara Quest Angler is an amazing match for most paddlers, but it’s not the perfect choice for every situation. Here are a few cases where another kayak in our range will serve you better:

Want to stand and cast?
Choose the iATAK instead. At 22 kg it’s heavier than the Quest Angler’s 14.5 kg, but it’s designed for confident stand-up casting and extra deck stability. -
Paddling in cold climates or rough conditions?
Consider one of our sit-in kayaks with sprayskirt capability , such as the AdvancedFrame Elite or AdvancedFrame Expedition Elite. These models give you more protection from cold water and wind, even though they are not dedicated fishing kayaks. -
Need a self-bailing cockpit?
If your paddling involves snorkelling, surf, or regular whitewater, look at the StraitEdge, which is a self-bailing inflatable rated up to Class III whitewater. The Quest Angler has an open deck with no bail ports, so any water that comes in will stay inside. -
Never going to fish?
You’re very welcome to choose the Quest Angler, but if you simply want a nimble touring inflatable, the Jaspara Quest Solo is a little shorter, a little lighter, and a little cheaper — a better fit when you don’t need the extra fishing hardware.
