easy 1.9km one way length (start point is finish point)

This secluded stretch of the Maroochy River is quite undisturbed and peaceful. Paddle up the old river boat route through mangrove, Paperbark, Casuarina, native hibiscus bloom in late spring to early summer and a huge variety of birds, to Coolum Creek Landing. Paddle a little further on to the cane train bridge, a crumbling remainder of the old Moreton Sugar Mill Tramway.
From your start point you can head south to Maroochy River and back. Coolum Creek Landing start point is at the dirt road end of West Coolum Road only accessible from the western side of Mt Coolum, from the M1 take the Coolum exit (not Yandina)
